What is the ruling if a pregnant *Khalafah* delivered its young before or after its receipt?

If the liable party presents a pregnant *Khalafah* and it aborts before the recipient takes possession, the payer must substitute it with another pregnant camel. If the delivery occurs after the recipient has taken possession, the camel suffices, as the obligation is discharged upon its handover.
