Is a wound penetrating the nose or the male organ considered a *ja'ifah*?
Chapter on Diyat (Blood Money) for Wounds
Al-Mughni
Book of Blood-Money (Diyyāt)
Primary text
If a wound penetrates the nose completely, it is treated identically to the aforementioned ruling concerning the cheekbone wound reaching the mouth, including the differing scholarly opinions on its classification. If a wound to the male organ reaches the urinary passage, it is not considered a *ja'ifah*, because that passage is not a cavity where death is feared from its penetration, unlike other cavities.
