Primary text

If the absent defendant who confessed later appears but presents no evidence to refute the claim, the record must state: "And the absent defendant who confessed to it, so-and-so, appeared and presented no evidence to repel the claimant's claim." If the absent defendant presents evidence upon his appearance, it must be added: "And he presented evidence."
