Primary text
When a man claims to have married a woman on Thursday for a thousand, and another proof claims marriage on Friday for a hundred, both dowers (mahr) are established because dower is immediately established upon contract. However, in rental agreements where the rent is established only by the passage of time, if two contracts are concluded for the same period before the time has elapsed, both stipulated rents cannot be required simultaneously.
