What is the ruling when both claimants present authenticated proofs of purchase from the seller, but the purchase dates differ?

Primary text
If both proofs are dated differently, such as one purchase in Muharram and the other in Safar, and each proof corroborates the other party's claim, the item belongs to the first purchaser (the earlier date). This is because ownership was established as having passed to the first purchaser, invalidating the subsequent sale, requiring the second seller to return the price.
