Validity of multiple successive revocations and new bequests supported by separate valid testimony

Primary text
If three distinct sets of equitable witnesses testify sequentially: first, that a person bequeathed one-third of their wealth to Zayd; second, that the testator revoked the bequest to Zayd and bequeathed one-third to Amr; and third, that the testator revoked the bequest to Amr and bequeathed one-third to Bakr, all testimonies are sound. The final bequest to Bakr is established as valid, regardless of whether the witnesses belonged to the heirs or not, because there is no suspicion of self-interest (*tuhmah*) concerning them.
