The workers over Zakat include those delegated by the Imam to collect it from its owners, gather, guard, and transport it. This also encompasses assistants, those managing livestock, bearers, accountants, scribes, weighers, measurers, and anyone else necessary for its administration, as their compensation is considered an expenditure of the Zakat itself, akin to its fodder. The Prophet (peace be upon him) used to dispatch collectors of charity and pay them their wages, sending figures such as Umar, Mu'adh, and Abu Musa. There is no disagreement regarding this classification, supported by the explicit mention in the Book (Quran), rendering lengthy elaboration unnecessary.
