If the custodian feeds or waters the animal in their own dwelling or elsewhere, either personally or by ordering their servant or companion, doing so in the manner customary for their own animals, no liability for loss rests upon them. This is because such action is tacitly permitted by custom, equating it to an explicitly stated permission.
