Does a conditional divorce stated in writing become immediately effective?

Primary text
If a man writes to his wife stating divorce conditionally, such as adding a condition or exception, and he intended the condition at the time of writing, the divorce does not take effect immediately. This is because he intended the divorce to occur at a future time, not presently. However, if he intended the divorce to take effect immediately, without reference to any condition, the divorce occurs immediately, even if he did not explicitly intend anything regarding immediacy, as the writing itself effects the divorce.
