Primary text

A person who is half-free and half-slave is permitted three full divorce pronouncements. Divorce cannot be fractionally divided in his case. Although his status implies he should possess three-quarters of a free man's divorce capacity, since he cannot possess such a fraction, the ruling defaults to establishing the full three divorces, which is the established principle for every person capable of divorce. The exception to the full three divorces applies only when full slavery is established for that individual.
