If the husband states, 'You have the option for a day' (*lakil khiyarun yawman*), its beginning is from the moment of utterance until the equivalent time on the following day, as a full day cannot be completed otherwise. If he specifies a month, the duration is from the moment of utterance until the completion of thirty full days until that same time. If he specifies 'the month,' 'the day,' or 'the year' without explicit temporal limits, it refers to the remainder of the current day, month, or year.
