Primary text

If the man subsequently states, 'If I swear by divorcing you both, then Hafsah is divorced,' Amrah is divorced. This occurs because he swore by the divorce of both wives after the initial condition suspended the divorce upon swearing by the divorce of both. Hafsah is not divorced because he did not swear by the divorce of both wives after suspending her divorce upon that condition.
