Primary text

If the husband states to Umra, "Every time I divorce Hafsa, you are divorced," and then states to Hafsa, "Every time I divorce Umra, you are divorced," and subsequently states to Umra, "You are divorced" (implying a direct divorce or triggering the initial state), Umra is divorced twice, and Hafsa is divorced once. If the husband initiates by divorcing Hafsa, each wife receives only one divorce, as the situation involves reciprocal conditions where divorcing one triggers the other, resulting in single pronouncements for each initial condition met.
