Primary text
When divorce is conditioned upon several attributes, and a single event exhibits all those attributes, the divorce occurs based on each attribute specified. This ruling applies similarly to manumission. For instance, if a man says to his wife, 'If you speak to a man, you are divorced,' 'If you speak to a tall man, you are divorced,' and 'If you speak to a black man, you are divorced,' and she speaks to a tall, black man, three divorces occur. Similarly, if he says, 'If you give birth to a girl, you are divorced,' 'If you give birth to a black child, you are divorced,' and 'If you give birth to a boy, you are divorced,' and she gives birth to a black girl, three divorces occur.
