Primary text

If a husband states, 'You are divorced if you speak to me until Zayd arrives,' and she speaks to him before his arrival, the condition for divorce is fulfilled (hanith). This is because the prohibition of speech was limited by the end point, which is Zayd's arrival. Therefore, the pronouncement of divorce is not effective after that time limit has passed.
