What is the ruling if the husband states, 'You are divorced, one talaqa in two' and intends one divorce, being knowledgeable in calculation?
Chapter on Divorce by Calculation
Al-Mughni
Book of Divorce
Primary text
If the husband intended one divorce, it is accepted because he has explained his speech by what it can possibly mean, as it is not unlikely that he intended what a layman intends with such wording.
Supporting text
