Primary text
If a man says to a woman, 'You are divorced,' without specifying his wife's name, there are two possibilities regarding the divorce. One possibility is that the divorce occurs because he intended the divorce to apply to his wife through the divorce utterance. The other possibility is that the divorce does not occur because he did not explicitly address her with the divorce or mention her name alongside the utterance.
