If one wife gives birth on Thursday, both wives are immediately divorced. If the second wife gives birth on Friday, she becomes separated and her waiting period concludes without further divorce being pronounced. The first wife is divorced a second time upon the second birth.

If each wife is pregnant with twins, both are divorced again with a single pronouncement each upon the delivery of the second child. When the first wife completes the full term of her pregnancy, her waiting period concludes, and the second wife is divorced three times. When the second wife completes the full term of her pregnancy, her waiting period concludes, and the second wife is divorced three times.
