Primary text

If a husband swears that his wife, who is on a specific landing (*darajah*), shall neither descend from it, ascend to it, nor stand upon it, she fulfills the oath by moving to an adjacent ladder or staircase. Her descent from the original landing is fulfilled if it is caused by something other than her own action, provided she did not move herself away from the original location. If she is forcibly moved, she is not considered to have moved away from the landing.
