What is the ruling when one says 'I have separated from you' or 'I have released you'?

If one says 'Faraqtuki' (I have separated from you) or 'Sarrah-tuki' (I have released you) and intends one divorce or leaves the intention unspecified, only one divorce occurs. If three divorces are intended, three occur, because these are actions that can express both a few or many instances.
