If two or three individuals stand up simultaneously, and then another person stands afterward, the divorce or emancipation takes effect upon the initial group that stood together, because the term 'first' applies to both a multitude and a single person, as evidenced in the saying regarding the poor emigrants being the 'first to enter Paradise' and the Quranic verse (Quran 2:41).
