If the husband divorces the wife before the garment is fully tailored and before consummation, he owes her compensation equivalent to the tailoring of half the garment, provided the half can be clearly demarcated. If demarcation is impossible, he owes half the fair wage for the tailoring labor.

However, if the husband performs tailoring exceeding half the garment such that certainty is established that at least half the labor has been completed, the obligation regarding the half is satisfied.
