What is the ruling on combining a marriage contract (*Nikah*) and a sale contract (*Bay'*) in one declaration?

Book of Dowry (Mahr)
Primary text
If a person states, 'I married you to my daughter, and I sold you my house for one thousand,' the declaration is valid. The sum of one thousand is apportioned between the dowry (*Mahr*) and the value of the house. This conjunction is permissible because both contracts are individually valid, similar to selling two garments together. The evidence is rooted in the validity of combining two distinct, valid contracts.
