Primary text
If the husband divorces the wife before taking possession of the dower and before consummation, and there is a separable increase, that increase belongs exclusively to her, and she takes half of the original dower amount. If the increase is connected (inseparable), she has the option: she may take half of the object (with the increase remaining on the whole) or take the whole object and pay him the value of half of it without the increase.
Supporting text
If the object is deficient, she has the option between accepting it in its deficient state or demanding half its value without the deficiency.
