What actions are recommended during the time of the eclipse besides prayer?

It is recommended to engage in the remembrance of Allah (Dhikr), supplication (Du'a), glorification (Takbir), seeking forgiveness (Istighfar), giving charity (Sadaqah), freeing slaves (Itq), and drawing near to Allah through all possible means. This is supported by the Prophet's instruction upon the sun's eclipse to supplicate, glorify, pray, and give charity. Furthermore, Abu Musa reported that people should resort to the remembrance of Allah, His supplication, and seeking His forgiveness. Asma reported that they were commanded to free slaves during the eclipse.
