The Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, supplicated: 'O Allah, send us rain that provides relief, nourishment, causes fertility, is beneficial and not harmful, coming soon and not delayed.' This is narrated by Jabir and recorded by Abu Dawud. The Prophet also supplicated: 'O Allah, give drink to Your servants and Your beasts, spread Your mercy, and revive Your dead land.'

Another narration details the supplication recited after the two rak'ahs, where the Prophet turned his face towards the people, reversed his cloak, raised his hands, and recited the opening verses of Surah Al-Fatiha (Quran 1:1-4), followed by supplications such as: 'O Allah, send us beneficial rain, a reviving spring, general and widespread rain, abundant and pouring rain, delightful and pleasant rain, rain that causes fertility and allows settlement, continuous and flowing rain, beneficial and not harmful, soon and not slow,' aiming to revive the land and provide sustenance.
