Is it permissible to purchase an item with the proceeds from selling a dedicated endowment (Waqf)?

Primary text
If a dedicated endowment is sold, any item purchased with its price for the beneficiaries of the endowment is permissible, regardless of whether it is of the same kind as the original endowment or a different kind. This is because the objective is the benefit derived, not the specific object itself. However, the benefit must be directed towards the original purpose for which the endowment was established. Changing the intended purpose is not permitted if maintaining the original purpose is possible, just as selling the endowment itself is not permitted if its benefit can still be maintained.
