What is the ruling on establishing a single endowment (Waqf) for two distinct beneficiaries?

Primary text
If one endows a property for two different categories, such as for his children and the poor, specifying shares (e.g., halves or thirds), the endowment is valid. This is permissible because if endowing a part to each category separately is valid, endowing both parts concurrently is also valid. If the endowment is stated generally, for instance, "I have endowed my house for my children and for the poor," it is divided equally between the two categories, as the unqualified attribution implies equality, which is only achieved through a division into halves.
