What is the ruling regarding the silver components (ornaments) of a bequeathed horse equipment placed in endowment for the cause of Allah (Sabil Allah)?

Primary text
The endowment stands as the testator willed it, regarding the horse, saddle, and bridle with silver. However, it is preferred that the silver from the saddle and bridle be sold and used to purchase similar replacements for the endowment. This preference exists because silver itself cannot be utilized for the purpose intended for the endowment, and replacing it with new equipment derived from the silver value serves the Muslims' benefit better. It is permissible to use the proceeds to purchase similar items (saddle/bridle) because this is a redirection of the value towards the original item's category when the original could not be used for its intended purpose, similar to selling a worn-out dedicated war-horse and using the price for a replacement.
Supporting text
It is not permissible to sell the silver and use the proceeds for the general maintenance (Nafaqah) of the horse.
