Is Zakat due on the yield from property endowed for the poor (misakin)?

Primary text
No Zakat is due on what reaches the possession of the poor, whether the amount reaches the *nisab* in grains and fruits or not. Zakat is also not due before the distribution, even if the total value reaches the *nisab*. This is because the endowment to the poor is not designated for any specific individual among them, evidenced by the fact that any one of them may be deprived and the portion given to another. Ownership is only established upon disbursement and taking possession; thus, what is given to them is considered newly acquired wealth upon which Zakat is not due, similar to regular Zakat disbursed to them, or if it was gifted or purchased.
