Does building a partition between two residents in a single house during cohabitation constitute breaking an oath of cohabitation?

If two parties are cohabiting in one dwelling and begin constructing a partition between them, the oath is broken because they engaged in cohabitation before the separation of the dwellings was finalized. This is according to Al-Shafi'i, and no known disagreement exists on this point.
