What constitutes violating an oath not to ingest anything?

If a person swears an oath not to 'taste' (*yut'im*) anything, the oath is broken by eating, drinking, or sucking, because all these actions involve tasting (*ta'm*). Evidence for this is found in the Quran regarding the river, where it states: {And whoever does not taste it} (Quran 2:249).
