Primary text
If a person swears to eat either one ripe date (rutbah) or one unripe date (basrah), or swears not to eat either, and consumes a mixed date (munṣaf), neither fulfillment nor breaking of the oath occurs because the mixed fruit does not constitute a single, distinct ripe date or a single, distinct unripe date.
