Primary text

It is deemed sufficient (yujzi'uhu) because ten poor persons have been fed for each expiation, achieving fulfillment as if done on two separate days. Furthermore, if a person is permitted to receive from two sources, they are permitted to receive from one source, similar to the limits concerning Zakat (alms).

Supporting text

The dissenting view holds that it is insufficient for more than one expiation. This is the position of Abu Hanifa and Abu Yusuf, based on the reasoning that feeding one poor person twice in one day from two expiations is only valid for one expiation, analogous to a single expiation where feeding one person suffices only once.
