Does moving to the courtyard or roof of a dwelling violate an oath not to leave the specific room ('bayt')?

If a person swears an oath that his wife shall not leave the room ('bayt'), and she goes out to the courtyard or to the roof, the oath is broken. This is the view held by Al-Shafi'i, Abu Thawr, and the people of Ray' (Hanafi scholars).
