Does swearing not to strike a young male slave (abd) result in breaking the oath if an older slave ('ateeq) is struck?

If one swears not to strike a young male slave (abd) and proceeds to strike an older slave ('ateeq), the oath is not invalidated. The prohibition was attached to the characteristic of youth, and striking an older slave does not fulfill the condition of the oath.
