Wild tree produce such as the red hawthorn, maple fruit, gall nuts, and myrtle berries are not considered fruit if they are not customarily enjoyed for pleasure.

If such wild produce is enjoyed, like pine nuts, then it is classified as fruit because it is the enjoyable produce of a tree.
