What is the effect of intending a specific missed fast when intending a different missed fast?

If someone has a missed fast from the year six hundred (Sunnah 5) but intends to fast it as a makeup for the year six hundred and one (Sunnah 6), the fast is valid. This is because the intention to fast itself was not corrupted; only the designation of the missed day was mistaken.
