Primary text

There is a narration from Ahmad stating that Kaffarah becomes obligatory upon one who experiences ejaculation through touching, kissing, or repeated gazing, because this is ejaculation resulting from direct contact (mubasharah), resembling ejaculation from sexual intercourse (Jima').

Supporting text

Other opinions suggest that Kaffarah is obligatory for anything that invalidates the fast, except apostasy (Riddah), as stated by Malik, because breaking the fast in Ramadan due to such an act is analogous to sexual intercourse. Similarly, Ata' held that a cupper (muhtajim) must pay Kaffarah.
