What is the ruling regarding the act of repeated gazing itself when no ejaculation occurs?
General Chapter
Al-Mughni
Book of Fasting
Primary text
If it is established that the initial gaze cannot be guarded against, then what it leads to does not invalidate the fast, similar to mere contemplation. Based on this principle, repeated gazing is disliked (makruh) for one whose desire is aroused by it, but it is not disliked for one whose desire is not aroused, similar to the case of kissing.
Supporting text
An alternative possibility is that repeated gazing is not disliked under any circumstance, because the consequence of ejaculation is considered very remote, unlike kissing, where the emission of prostatic fluid is not remote.
