Does swallowing saliva invalidate the fast if the mouth became impure?
General Chapter
Al-Mughni
Book of Fasting
Primary text
If a person spits out matter and their mouth remains impure, or if their mouth becomes impure from an external source, and they then swallow their saliva, the fast is invalidated if that saliva contains any portion of the impurity. If the saliva is pure (without any trace of the contaminant), the fast is not broken.
