Is there any penalty upon one who intentionally misses a day of fasting in Ramadan?

There is no established penalty for one who intentionally breaks the fast for a day of Ramadan if he were to fast for the entirety of time. This is based on the report from Abu Hurayrah concerning one who intentionally breaks the fast, for which Ahmad commented that the Hadith is not sound.
