Primary text

An individual apostate who lacks a secure stronghold (*man'a*) is obligated to compensate for the lives and property destroyed, similar to a free Muslim or a subject of *Dhimma*. This is because he lacks a stronghold and the scale of his destruction is not extensive. Therefore, the sanctity of property and life remains intact concerning him, necessitating liability for what he destroyed.
