Is a post-puberty admission of being a slave accepted if the individual previously admitted to being free?

If the individual previously confessed to being free (*hurriyyah*) before admitting to slavery, the subsequent admission of slavery is not accepted. This is because the admission of freedom pertains to a right belonging to God (Allah), and one cannot retract a statement that negates this right.
