To whom does the earnings of a female slave who has committed an offense belong?
General Chapter
Al-Mughni
Book of Freeing Mothers of Children
Primary text
If a female slave earns anything after committing an offense, the earnings belong to her master because ownership is established for the master, not the injured party. Similarly, if she gives birth, the offspring belongs to the master because the child is a separate entity, analogous to her earnings.
