What is the ruling concerning a mudabbara (a slave decreed free upon the master's death) in relation to redemption?

The ruling concerning the mudabbara is the same as that for the Umm Walad, with the exception that, according to one narration, she may be sold. Therefore, she can be handed over for sale if the master chooses this option.
