What is the ruling regarding the master's liability if an Umm Walad (conceived slave woman) dies before being redeemed (fida)?

Nothing is due from the master if the Umm Walad dies before her redemption. This is because the liability was attached to her physical person, not the master's personal debt. Upon her death, the right lapses due to the extinction of its object.
