Is it permissible to give charity to a beggar who asked before the sermon, but the giving occurs during the sermon?

It is permissible to give charity to a person who asked for charity before the Imam began the sermon, even if the act of handing over the charity occurs while the Imam is delivering the sermon. This permission is granted because the beggar did not initiate the asking while the sermon was in progress.
