Is it preferable to offer voluntary prayers after Jumu'ah prayer?

It is preferable that one prays after Jumu'ah prayer. This preference is affirmed by a narration transmitted through Abu Dawud concerning Imam Ahmad, where it is stated that praying after Jumu'ah is desirable to him.
