How should one proceed if doubtful about the number of Eid takbeers?

If one doubts the number of takbeers, one must rely on the certainty (the lesser number). If one performs the takbeer and then doubts whether the *Takbirat al-Ihram* (opening takbeer) was intended, the prayer and the following prayers must be restarted, unless the doubt is mere misgiving (*waswasa*), in which case it is ignored.
